Wire Sculpture

I'm calling this project, water bottle because it's my hydro flask water bottle. The subject is a wire sculpture based off of a life size version of my water bottle. I chose to create this specific work because my water bottle is something that I use daily.

For materials, I used pliers and wire. I used a variety of techniques and methods including: fish hook connections and tracing my name with wire. While creating this artwork, I paid close attention to space by closely comparing the size with the size of my water bottle. I wanted my artwork to stand up and I did that by making strong fish hook connections. To add interest to my composition, I used a different water bottle cover by using my other one from home.

I like the way it is even and looks strong and I am proud of how I was able to make something that big be able to stand up. However, I struggled with making the cover. If I created another artwork like this I may try to straighten out the wires more. My work shows that I learned how to use the technique of fish hook connections to make a wire sculpture.
