Surrealism

Artist Statement: 

The main idea that guided my artwork was that I loved how the ocean could easily blend into the green and I chose "LOVE AND LOSS" because it felt very personal to me. Lately, I have felt like I should throw some personal stuff such as emotions into my artwork, and this was a test run of it, and I really like it.

The materials I used were acrylic paint and a white paint marker.

I decided to take out the eeriness of the water because I feel it did not look right and I also took out the purple of the water because it would not have blended well with the green. I did not do any research or experiments, I just found what I liked in some magazines. I also tried to show how someone could be lost in their love with either themself or someone else and I felt like I could spread even a small message from this piece of art.
