Mixed Media Contour Drawings

Artist Statement: 

I did not have an idea that guided my artwork. I decided to draw random things and tried to bring it all together so I used vines. The vines represent "intertwined".

How the work was made, I used watercolor first to make the background and then proceeded to glue on my Mixed Media art work pieces. I used drips to sort of put another layer on the cutouts without adding another full layer. I then used colored pencils to color some things and then drew some vines. For the last step, I grabbed more watercolor and went over some certain pieces on certain cutouts to bring it all together.

Why I made the background all different colors, I don't really know but I wanted to bring in different colors somehow.  I didn't have any reason to why I put the cutouts where they are, they didn't fit each other well so I tried to make them separate but also intertwined with vines.
