Artist Statement:

The main idea that guided my artwork is the candy I picked out. I chose these candies because they are my favorite. I also felt like they had a lot of different color contrasts that could be a good challenge for me.

I used a 2H Graphite Pencil and then I proceeded to use colored pencils on Drawing Paper. For my shadows, I used a 2B, 4B, and 6B pencil for each different color of the shade.

I put my artwork in the center because that's how it was in the photograph. I did not research anything because we had to copy something exactly. I did experiment with shading and highlighting because that was the most important thing from this artwork, to test our shading and highlighting.
