Extended Blind Contour

Artist Statement:

The main idea that guided my artwork was when I saw how some of the circles I drew as a face represented mind thought bubbles and I wanted to put in some sunsets and stars for the blue area which represents nighttime. I still felt like something was missing so I put an eye in the picture. There is no reason behind it. But the meaning of the fist and the mind bubbles is to represent fighting your thoughts. For example, people have different thoughts and voices in their heads, fighting back and forth and arguing over what's right and wrong or what to do and what not to do. 

I first started with the oil pastels and sketched everything. I then went in with the ink and created more of a background to finish up the artwork.

I did not really have a reason for any of this project but did put a little meaning in the fist and thought bubble part which represents fighting your own dark thoughts.
