Dear St. Michael Families,

As we enjoy the final day of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for such a fantastic year together. This first year at St. Michael has been a true blessing for me, and I am incredibly grateful for the warm welcome, support, and partnership I have received from our parents, students, faculty, and parish community. Your kindness and commitment to our school have made this year both meaningful and memorable, and I am excited for all that is ahead for St. Michael.

A special thank you goes to our PTO and the many parent volunteers who helped make Tuesday’s Field Day such a safe and successful event. Our students had an absolute blast, and the joy and energy throughout the day were a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the school year. We are very appreciative of everyone who gave their time and talents to make the day possible.

Yesterday, we gathered for our final school Mass with Father Van. Father Van has been a priest, a shepherd, a role model, and a true friend to our school community. He will be deeply missed.  Father Van, thank you for the countless ways you have guided, encouraged, and cared for our students and families. We are grateful for your presence at St. Michael, and while we will miss you greatly, we wish you many blessings and joy in the next chapter of your journey.

As we move into summer, we will continue to share staffing updates with our school community. Today, I would like to share a few important announcements.

Mrs. Miranda Anderson, our middle school science teacher, has accepted a teaching position at St. Xavier High School. Mrs. Anderson brings a strong background in high school education, and while she will certainly be missed at St. Michael, we are excited for this new opportunity and know it is a wonderful fit for her talents and experience. We thank her for the care and dedication she has shown to our students and wish her every success in this next chapter.

We also recognize Mr. Peak as he begins his well-earned retirement. For the past ten years, Mr. Peak has provided outstanding leadership and compassionate care for the students and families of St. Michael School. He will be greatly missed, but we are excited for the adventures and special moments he will now enjoy with his family. We thank Mr. Peak for his years of faithful service and wish him many blessings in retirement.

Finally, I am excited to share some wonderful news regarding our leadership team. Following a thoughtful search process, Ms. Julie Davis has been selected to serve as the next assistant principal of St. Michael School. Ms. Davis is already a valued member of our school community, currently serving as a fourth grade teacher, and I am thrilled to see her step into this important leadership role. Ms. Davis brings 30 years of experience in education, the majority of which has been in Catholic schools. Throughout her time at St. Michael, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, leadership, and a deep commitment to our students, staff, and families. Her ability to cultivate positive relationships rooted in kindness, respect, and strong Christian values makes her exceptionally well-suited for this position.  I am confident that Ms. Davis will be an excellent addition to our administrative team, and I look forward to partnering with her as we continue supporting the mission and growth of St. Michael School.

Thank you again for an incredible school year. I pray your summer is filled with rest, joy, and quality time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for another wonderful year at St. Michael!

Very Respectfully,

Mrs. Conliffe
