Art form: Literary Arts
In Literary Arts, students are exposed to a range of literary forms such as prose, poetry, and drama, as well as a variety of writing forms, like short stories, plays, comics, creative non-fiction and different types of poetry. It also teaches us the conventions and techniques of each form and their application in personal writing.
In Literary Arts lessons, students are exposed to various writing forms and are given the opportunity to attempt to write these forms through writing exercises. For example, this year's Year One Literary Arts students explored the writing forms of Short Fiction, Playwriting and Poetry. Below are several samples of work done by R7 Literary Arts students in the past year.
is a place for learning and understanding more about the world of Chinese culture and language. Students are able to immerse themselves in the world of Chinese traditions and language.
Students learn about the rich and vivid culture and history of the Chinese language through interactive gameplay and spectacularly planned lessons.
We were tasked to create a storybook written in Chinese. The first two classes chose to edit a short story from a literature book, while the other classes made up a story about school.
