Music lessons showcase the discovery of music from around the world and the examination of the development of music across traditions and history. In music lessons, students will be able to immerse themselves in the world of music analysis, theory and history. They are also able to gain knowledge through lessons of instrumental studies and chamber music performance.
In the weekly music lessons, students are able to learn and grow their musicality though Instrumental Study (IS) lessons and Integrated Music Study (IMS) lessons. In IS lessons, students are given the opportunities to work with musicians in the music industry, they hone their technical and musical skills in these weekly lessons. In IMS lessons, students are exposed to the amazing world of Music History, Music Theory and General Musicianship. Below are several examples of music lessons and experiences in the music classroom.
Year 1 Coordinated Science served as an entry point for students to explore Physics, Chemistry, as well as Biology in preparation for choosing one of these subcategories in Year 3. Students learnt about concepts like heat, light and classification techniques such as the dichotomous key. Below are some notes taken by R7 students during Science classes.
