(Geography comes from two greek words 'Geo' and 'Graph')
Geo- means the earth
graph- means to write
Geography is the study of physical features and of the earth's atmosphere, or in literal terms, it is “To write about the earth”. It allows us to understand and study how our actions have effects on the environment, for example, how the burning of fossils fuels contributes to global warming. Geography class is very interesting as not only do we learn about facts, we also get to watch videos of case studies which teaches us how what we have learnt can be applied in the real world. These case studies allow us to further understand the problems we are facing in the world around us.
In Geography class, Ms Wang always shows us videos to help us better understand the real life issues that are going on.
One of the case studies that Ms Wang showed us was the pollution of the Yamuna river. She showed us this video:

In Geography, we have had some projects throughout the year. Here are some of R3's students' works that we would like to showcase. These were all illustrated by the following individuals and we would like to recognise the effort they have put in, as well as the rest of our classmates.
For this project, we had to write a story and illustrate a short story about the River Cycle which is a topic that we covered during HBL.
