This project gave me an amazing experience. At the begining I was a bit nervous to live with Turkish family but when I came there all my worries disappeared. People of this country greeted us really kindly. It was very interesting to see the educational institutions, surroundings, their culture, religious places and of course the Adana city.

Turkey is a very beautiful country. There is very beautiful nature, architecture and culture. In Turkey I got to know their traditions and I enjoyoed unusual dishes. I very liked it. Also I learned something from Turkish language . This language is difficult but very beautiful. Turkish people are very kind and friendly. They immediately took us to their homes and they treated us like family members. They always smile and are nice. This was a very good experience becauseIi learned a lot of new things about another country where I have never been. I got to know their culture and I enjoyed it . I really liked this project because such an experience we can get in this way. .

It was really interesting to visit Turkey. Different feelings overcame me in Turkey, different culture, enviroment- it was something new for me, I`m glad that we had a chance to visit different parts of the city and see how people actually live. Adana is the city of contrasts. Atmosphere was good, everyone was friendly and wanted to communicate. Thanks for this opportunity!

It was great to discover a culture so different from ours. We saw many new things.
For example I was surprised because there are a lot of mosques. They are all beautiful inside and outside ! The call of the Muezzin surprised me too: he calls people for the prayer five times a day. I found strange that the population kneels down towards the Meccano at that moment.
There are many orange and lemon trees right in the middle of the city. And palm trees too.
In Turkey the public toilets are very Turkish!
The welcome was warm ; the hosting families were very friendly. We felt like in a cocoon. They made us feel confortable. The families were all very nice ! At school all the children came to us.They were smilling and happy to meet us. They said "Hello !", "How are you ?", "What's your name ?"...and they shook our hands. They were very warm. Some wanted to take "Selfies" with us ! They were so cute… The Turkish food is spicy, particulary Adana's Kebab ! The Turkish dishes are coloured and generous. They are delicious !!
I was surprised to see the snow in a country in Eastern Europe too ! I did not expect it!
Nevertheless Turkey is a poor country. Some accomodations are in bad condition and we saw little children ( 5 or 6 years old ) begging money in the street. That's the other slide of the coin ...Although the cost of living is not high.
But to conclude I would say that this trip was very enriching ! We were very lucky to participate to this project meeting in Turkey.
We travelled far away but we managed to communicate in English with the families and with the partners from Greece, Italy, Poland, Lativia, Turkey, Czech Republic too.

This project meeting will stay forever in my mind. We were warmly welcomed. The Turkish people are very nice. Turkey is a very beautiful country. I discovered a different culture from mine. I have talked in English but I have learnt some words in Turkish too. I will always remember the Adana kebabs but also chili. I enjoyed this project because I could discuss with people from different countries of Europe.

I really enjoyed the trip to Turkey because it is a totally different country from France on many points: first the level of life of the country, Turkey is a poor country compared to France.
I was welcomed by Melis’ family and friends, they made me discover their culture and I really appreciated it. I am very grateful to them. I had no problem in this country. I really loved the generosity and kindness of the people.
When we went to school, I had the impression of being a famous person as all the students came to me asking me : "what is your name? where are you from?... ". I was amazed, it was really great ...
On the first day, we had to work in groups and create a scenario in English with partners from other countries and it was a little difficult to understand but in the end it went well and I enjoyed it.
Going around the City of Adana, I noticed that there were many mosques almost every corner it was quite surprising.
What I will remember from this experience is the generosity of the people and the beauty of the country!

I really liked this trip to Turkey because it allowed me to discover other cultures.
I discovered that Turkey is a very poor country compared to France, there are not a lot of comfort and this was an experience to see how the people there cope with the little they have.
Many things make me feel ill at ease : Turkish welcome is VERY warm, sometimes too much welcoming for example ( Like in their school ). On the roads the driving is dangerous, people can be 4 to ride a motorcycle, or eight in a car...

From 16 to 20 February I was in the Turkish city of Adana. I stayed in a host family with my schoolmate Miroslav Semkiv. All members of the family were very pleasant and hospitable.
We visited the school and spent the whole day there. We saw that the school is quite different, e.g. teachers don´t have their own rooms there, they have just one common room.
The weather spoilt our trip to Cappadocia (quite unbelieveble, it was snowing more than in our country!) but we saw Tarsus and the seaside town of Mersin instead.
The centre of Adana, mosques, other sights, sweetshop, visiting the mayor of Adana – unforgettable impressions of Thursday spent in Turkey.
I enjoyed this meeting a lot, like the other ones, I am glad that I had so kind family, and I met some new friends again.

In Turkey, specifically in Adana, I liked hospitality in families and in the vicinity. People were friendly and active. I really liked Turkish food. I was surprised by radios which preached prayer time and I was impressed by the space in mosques that are quite different from the Christian churches.

Turkey is a beautiful country and Adana is nice city. I didn't know that Adana is such a big city. I liked the way people are willing and kind. I lived with very cordial family. I´am glad that I had chance to meet this family. I found out that some words are the same or similar to Czech. I was surprised that they drink black tea often. I'm happy that I had a chance to visit Turkey.

In my opinion, Comenius exchange in Turkey was one of the best. I met quite different from my culture, new people. I understood that intergeneration differences were, are and will be in future, regardless the time in which we live. Argumnts with parents and demands of rights by children are natural thing. We should remember that the most important in family is unity, acceptance and mutual understanding.

The trip was great! I met new friends. I learnt a lot about tradition and culture. At first we had lessons at Turkish school. Later we visited the city and mosques. I spent a lot of time talking with my friends. I learnt a lot of interesting things about the country. I like this trip very much.

My trip to Turkey started on the 16th February. First we went by bus to Berlin and there we flew to Sanbul. We were at the airport at 11 o'clock and waited for the next flight to Adana. In this town I met my Turkish friend Dilek, who is 13 years old. I stayed at her family house for 5 days. Dilek showed me her school, city and Turkish culture. In the city I met the president of Adana. In the evening we often went shopping with Dilek and I bought there new white converse shoes. I came back to Poland last weekend. I think people in Turkey were very helpful and friendly. I had there a lot of fun so I hope to meet Dilek next time.

I was very frightened before leaving from Italy because I had never flown before. But when I arrived in Turkey all my fears disappeared. My partner has been really friendly and his family was very happy to host me. We are friends now. Now I am sad because this experience is over. But as soon as I can I would like to come back to Adana and meet again Emre and his family.

Days ago we had news from friends here who will be visiting from abroad. When I met Insanlarlka I was actually excited, I was excited to meet people from different cultures. Finally they came to Turkey and the next day they came to the school for a presentation. I tried my best to meet everyone before the presentation. Because I would've been happy to know people of different cultures and races. They are friendly and talkative, and have a sense of humor. After the presentation we went into a coffee break I found a chance to get better acquainted with everyone there.
