Monopoli is a town of approximately 50.000 inhabitants situated in the Apulia region in the south-east of Italy. It is a nice town by the sea, situated at about 50 kilometres from Bari, the capital city of the region.

Our school, Istituto Comprensivo 'Modugno-Galilei'. is very near to the historical centre of Monopoli. The school is focused on music, our students learn to play an instrument (they can choose among guitar, piano, cello, flute, accordeon, violin, trumpet) and in the afternoon they follow courses of music and choir.

The students come from different social and economic backgrounds, from families working in commerce, agriculture, craftmanship and fishing.
