Remembrance

The incentive for organising the meeting in Łódź was the multicultural past of our city and the changes in the social profile of the city due to the course of events of WWII and post-war time. We wanted to learn if there were any similar moments in the history in our partner countries, the events that changed the society. We want our students to think if individuals can influence the history and make them realise that actively or passively they participate in creating the profile of the society they live in. We want to refer to the key word of the project "YouTopia" and look for answer what we shall do to work for peace and prevent wars. What role does the remembrance – the memory of the past play in creating peace now and in the future?
