In Poland what is surprising is that Polish people eat soup as a starter, and drink tea ! But the most
amazing it's that we eat a lot during the day, very much ! Moreover, wherever we go, we have to hang our coats at the cloakroom and there are people whose job is to hang the clothes, for example in the Potzanski’s museum ! This trip was the best experience I have ever had.

The Polish tradition of drinking tea during meals is surprising for me even if it is not a problem. In France we drink water, without any syrup. I enjoyed this trip to Lodz! Thank you very much!Madison
Lots of people move with buses. There are lots of bus all the time ! 24 jours a day. This is surprising for us because we come from a rural area and we only travel by bus to go to school or on school trips. The "Manufaktura" is a big shopping center. It used to be a textile manufacture now it is an amazing place where we can find anything we need.

This trip to Poland was awesome for me because I think it's a great thing to see different places, meet different people, discover a new lifestyle. More, visiting an important place such as Auschwitz was important for me, I think remembering the past is necessary.I made friends with other students from different countries and we shared good moments together.

An experience like this can be only interesting and full of expectations, although it was a fairly large distance and a tiring journey. Once you arrive in Poland you feel like in another century. Cleanliness of cities, architecture, streets, people-they all create something unique in the cities of Poland.
There are some places where the cold air of the past is still present, like Auschwitz.
The first impression of Auschwitz: everything really happened. I saw this with my own eyes: all clothes, shoes, hair pieces, glasses; that feeling is still living in these camps. You have to feel by yourselves to believe all these.
From this experience I learned a lot about the traditions and history of Poland, and I had the opportunity to see and feel a part of European history.

This experience was the most beautiful of my life. It was a special experience for me due to which I learnt a lot of new things, about other peoples, about traditions, about history and it was my chance to visit Poland because of our very welcoming and friendly hosts. I was very happy to learn about all of these. So, this experience was a beautiful chance for me to learn a lot of new things and I hope that I will repeat it. "Adina

This really was very interesting trip. I liked all presentations, they were created professionally and very seriously- everyone had tried to explore the subject. We had a great opportunity to learn more about Poland as a country and its history as well. Project participants also were very positive people, it was very easy to contact with them .It really was a great adventure.

All through the trip to Polish city Lodz was an amazing experience. We could learn a lot about history of Poland and WWII- the pain, the lose. Some things that we learnt from the trip fell heavy on my heart, because history had been so inhuman and awful. A thing that stayed in my mind most was the trip to Auschwitz concentration camp where so many unexceptable things and genocide happened.
The hosts were great people- fun loving and always helpful students and teachers.
All in all it was great time.

I really enjoyed this journey because my host family was very friendly and we visited very interesting and important places. Even if I had some problems with food I can say that it has been a wonderful experience.
JOANNA AVERSA
This journey has been a unique experience because we visited some places that belong to a very close past such as the concentration camps or the Jewish cemetery. I hope I can have other opportunities like this, to know other places and meet new people.

We had the opportunity to talk with people from other nations, which is probably my greatest experience. I liked the shopping center Manufaktura and the city of
Krakow. Auschwitz was a big impression. Living
together with Polish people, with whom I had nice, touching, but also sad
experiences during the project meeting also gave me a lot.

It is the second year of our class in the project YoUtopia. Thanks to the project I was in Poland, for the first time alone in a foreign family. Since the theme of the meeting was The Second World War, the third day, we went to a concentration camp in Auschwitz. It was a very interesting feeling, going around this camp, feeling that there a few years ago, the people were living and suffering there. A lot of people and children died there. I think that we took a lot of food for thought for ourselves from there. I'd like to know more about it.

From 4/11 to 8/11 I was in a Polish city called Lodz. It is a beautiful city which has a lot to tell us.
We had some school activites, we were talking about the Second World War, we visited museums and old cemetaries.
On Thursday we travelled a lot, to the beautiful city of Krakow and to the German concentration camp in Auschwitz, where we saw the work camp and the extermination camp. It was a litlle bit depressive.
The final ceremony with a lot of fun, delicious Polish salads and cakes and talking with other students was a marvellous ending to the whole meeting.

Comenius meeting was very nice. I met some new people and made friends with them. I met my foreign colleagues. I hosted two young Italian girls in my house. They were very nice, but a bit shy. We asked our aunt for help with translating some things into Italian. She helped us and thanks to that we could talk more with the girls. During this trip we visited many important places in Łódź but also Auschwitz – Birkenau. I learnt a lot from this journey.

I think history should be very important for us. We must know the past and we should be very grateful for action of our ancestors. This project helped me realize what people did in the past. Trip to Auschwitz was really moving. Everything in this place is really authentic and shows how people suffered and how Germans treated Polish, Jewish, Gypsy people. We can't be indifferent to their harm. We also can't forget how people fought for us.
This time was unforgettable I met really nice people and I hope it will be international friendship for many years.

Comenius was a very interesting experience. I was in France a year before but being a host is something new. I met awesome people and discovered new cultures. I hope the guests liked my county. It was truly enriching experience.

The meeting on 4- 8 November was very interesting and important for everybody. We showed our culture and we tried to be good hosts for people from other countries. I learned English better than on lessons because I could talk in this language all the time. I learnt a lot from our guests. It was very responsible for me cause I was to take care of the visitor. The topic of was difficult and new for a lot of people. I hope they learnt what the life in Poland was like during the WW II.

Comenius meeting on 4-8 November was very important and interesting event for me. We could all learn about history and we also showed our difficult past. I was a host and I have good memories. Sometimes we had problem with communication in English but we had good contact. Melis could see our way of life and our traditions. This experience also taught me responsibility because the girl who I hosted was only 12 years old and I had to care about he. I think this meeting was very good experience.

Comenius was a great experience. I met a lot of awesome people. I’m Polish, but I have never been to Aushwitz before, so I could share the experience of the first visit with people from other countries. It was a really “family” project, in terms of the atmosphere; my new friend from the Czech Republic was like my sister for 4 days. She met my family, visited my country, and was in my home. I’m really thankful that I took part in the project; it was fun to see people from other countries that tried something really new and different from their homeland.

In Comenius project I had an amazing experience. I met a lot of interesting people. I hosted an Italian girl. This was the first time when I had a person from another country in my house. Most I liked a trip to Cracow and the most important for myself was the trip to Auschwitz. Thanks to this exchange I know more about culture of other countries. If I have again a chance to take part in this type of exchange for sure I will go.

I think that it was the most memorable moment in my whole life, because I could learn a lot about the history of Comenius partners’ countries history. I also met new people and made some new friends. This meeting has showed me, that even if we are not the same we still have a lot in common.
