The morning of the 3rd day of activity was scheduled for the project partners to meet and be introduced to the members of the local authority. The partner countries were welcome at the City Hall and the University.
At noon, everyone went for a walk in the Old Town and got a glimpse of the architectural style of the buildings, most of them being under a process of renovation due to the coming elections for the European Cultural Capital in 2021, Craiova being among the candidate cities.
Back to school, the students and teachers were divided into small groups again in order to attend a new workshop activity: painting their own handmade clay objects, previously made at Cosesti, with 'youtopic' messages. They also used posters as means of expressing messages. An exhibition was therefore organized for everyone to admire the results of the partners' creativity.
In the evening everyone attended the farewell party Walk in My Shoes : students, teachers as well as representatives of the elderly (retired teachers ). The Romanian students prepared activities meant to encourage and improve the communication between the young and the elderly while dancing and singing. The party was divided into 3 major parts: Oldies but Goldies (old music), Traditional Romanian folk music and Modern Music. The partners were also offered one more 'sample' of the Romanian folklore by enjoying traditional dances performed by a school dance assembly from Lesile, Simnicu de Sus.
Needless to say that everything we see, everywhere we look, everything we admire and proudly present to other countries as being ours in terms of national and cultural identity is closely connected to the elderly. They truly deserve our GRATITUDE!
