Creative Recycling
Recently word ‘’sustainability’’has become quite often used, let`s say- even stylish. We use it speaking about economics, development, traditions, life styles. In the context of our project susainability means responsibility for future generations living on the Earth- our only home.
Getting ready to the project meeting in Latvia students have been doing lot of practical work- each country had chosen one material which could be recycled and given new life. Paper, plastic, tetrapacks, textile, wood, metal, glass became amazingly suitable materials in our creative hands. Honestly speaking we were really surprised about results.
During the meeting we mostly focused on doing things together- our workshops of creative recycling once more showed that any recycled material can get new life if you have creative mind and hands.
Everyone knows what are the consequences of greenhouse effect, the extinction of species e.t.c. But does it really change something? What are you personally doing to save our planet? Did you make this stuff only because of project? If AFTER this project meeting YOU will try to give new life to old things which cause pollution, then we can say that green thinking and green living really works. This is how SUSTAINABILITY is implemented.
NB
Three magic words REUSE, REDUSE, RECYCLE and be creative!!!
