i have always admired Jeannie, though i was somewhat intimidated in my youth, when i saw the matriarch of a large family of my cousins and uncle bob, in her domain. i remember things like jeannie's weanies, and how much fun i would have with my cousins in her household. through the years, from our youth, when i picked up so many tales and incidental songs and games from her gang. truly, given that they were living on the wild side, in such an urban mix, my eyes were opened by the possibilities. i believe that jeannie has influenced me to this day, as i've been attracted to the urban mix, and now do my work. thanks jeannie! you are an inspiration. i love you.
