Yummy Granola!
The women at Christ the King in Columbus, Ohio organized a session to share tips for healthy living.
One idea has outlasted all of the others - the recipe for granola that Jeannie brought.
I have shared the recipe with countless others and it remains the daily staple of our morning diet.
Jeannie's Granola Recipe Oven - 350'
6 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 cup nuts (raw)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds (raw)
1/3 cup canola oil
1/3 cup honey
Heat the oats for @ 20 minutes, stirring a couple of times.
Add the nuts and sunflower seeds.
Add the oil and honey, stirring to evenly coat the oats.
Bake until golden brown, stirring occasionally. At the end the granola browns more quickly and can burn.
Store in an airtight container.
If desired, add dried fruit after the oat mixture has baked.
Enjoy!
