Dear Jeannie and all your family,

I kept hearing about this request for stories about Jean and her determination to finish her degree and finally today I got to see it! Beth sent me the E-mail last evening and Laura got my computer going again today so here is a congratulatory message from Ruthie.

When I looked at the pictures, I see that many are ones that I had sent to her before and am glad that I got to participate in some ways.

Four of my girls (Linda, Laura, Janice and Carol) got here together and made mighty efforts to work on my kitchen and worked miracles of beautiful improvements. Mama would have loved to see how pretty all her cupboards and drawers look now and lights over the table and underneath the cabinets – so pretty and light. Then they helped me thin out all the goods which take up space and do not need to be here. Five days seemed to be not nearly enough time to do it all and now it’s looking as though I may be ready to have the Cousins Reunion here after all. I will have a BEAUTIFUL house.

Congratulations on attaining your goal of finishing your degree Jeannie. You certainly did stick to it in spite of knee problems and even managed to walk to classes and ACE the requirements.
