Dear Jeannie!

I remember when I first met you at One Montgomery, and then shortly thereafter when you, Bob and I had dinner together. I learned about your courage during the beginning of the Civil Rights era, and then through the years how you made history with your husband as you advocated for civil rights for ALL of God's children. I was amazed then, and I continue to be challenged to live likewise through your example.

You are one of those persons that convinces me that God's light can and does shine, even in the darkness! You have given selflessly...and you have continued to remind me that we NEVER ever stop learning! Congratulations on achieving your dream of higher education. I give thanks to God for who you are and Who you demonstrate every single day!
