When I was in elementary school and lived in Montgomery, my family was always eager to visit Jeannie and her family. For me as a youngster, Jeannie always had wonderful craft projects on the table for her kids to make. Of course, she always invited my brother and me to join them in craft making whether it was with socks or cereal boxes. We always had fun. While my parents were discussing with the Graetz' the serious business of the tensions of living and practicing civil rights, I always felt comfortable and secure. A tribute to Jeannie's gift of making everyone feel welcomed and joy in the moment. Congratulations to you Jeannie on yet another achievement, and for all you have nurtured through these many years.
