ganu mhane tyaach kotita-laa sai | chalaa tyaa-chyaa paayi lin hovu ||16||

ganu - Ganu

mhane - says

tyaach - that itself

kotita-laa - from class

sai - Sai baba

chalaa - let us

tyaa-chyaa - his

paayi - at feet

lin - humble, surrendered

hovu - become

Ganu says, from that class (of saints) itself is Sai. Let us become surrendered at his feet.

jari tyaa santaan-chya murti ho lopalyaa | sai-rupe urlyaa pahaa-vayaa ||

jari - although

tyaa - those, that

santaan-chya - of the saints

murti - forms, bodies

ho - O, really

lopalyaa - have become extinct, have disappeared

sai-rupe - in the form of Sai

urlyaa - have remained

pahaa-vayaa - for seeing, for beholding.

Although the forms of those saints have disappeared really, (yet) in the form of Sai, they have remained for beholding.

tribhuvanaa-maji je je koni santa | te te sainath maja-laagi ||

tribhuvanaa-maji - in the three worlds

je je - whosoever

koni - who

santa - saints

te te - all of those

sainath - Sainath

maja-laagi - for me

In the three worlds, who whosover are saints, all of those are Sainath for me.

bhed-buddhi nupajo majhi santan-thaayi | santa shesha-shaayi pratyaksha-chi ||

bhed-buddhi - intellect of duality (that causes to see saints as different from one another & different from the Lord)

nupajo - let not arise

majhi - my, mine

santan-thaayi - in the place of saints

santa - saints

shesha-shaayi - Lord Vishnu, one who reclines on the Shesha serpent

pratyaksha-chi - in reality itself, verily itself

Let the intellect of duality of mine not arise in the place of saints. Saints are Shesha-Saaye (i.e. Lord Vishnu) in reality itself.

ganu-das aahe santan-cha ankit | bheto pandhari-naath tyaan-chya krupe ||17||

ganu-das - Dasganu

aahe - is

santan-cha - of the saints

ankit - obedient, servant

bheto - Let be got

pandhari-naath - Lord Pandharinath, Lord Vitthal i.e. Lord Vishnu

tyaan-chya - by thiers'

krupe - grace, blessing

Dasganu is servant of the Saints. Let Pandharinath be got, by thiers' grace.

bhakti-rupa ganga aahe jayaa thaayi | tethe maajhaa sai raahe ubhaa ||

bhakti-rupa - in the form of devotion

ganga - Ganga

aahe - exists, is

jayaa - at which

tethe - at that place, therein

maajhaa - my, mine

sai - Sai

raahe - exists, remains

ubhaa - standing, upright

The Ganga in the form of devotion exists at which place, at that place, my Sai remains standing

hasta-sanketaa-ne paalavito lokaa | yaa ho firu nakaa raano-maala ||

hasta-sanketaa-ne - by handly gestures (i.e. by waving hands)

paalavi-to - he beckons, he signals

lokaa - the people

yaa - come

ho - O

firu - roam

nakaa - do not

raano-maala - in the forests & stony foothills

By handly gestures (i.e. by waving hands), he beckons the people, O Come, do not roam in the forests & stony foothills.

maja olakhaa-ve aahe mi kothalaa | kashaa-saathi aalaa shirdi-si ||

maja - me

olakhaa-ve - recognise

kothalaa - from where

kashaa-saathi - for what reason, for what purpose

aalaa - have come

shirdi-si - to Shirdi

Recognise me, I am from where? For what reason, have I come to Shirdi?

pandhari kshetri-cha mich ho vaataadyaa | ganu-chya tyaa udyaa sai-bale ||18||

pandhari - Pandhari

kshetri-cha - of holy place

mich - i myself am

ho - O , really

vaataadyaa - guide

ganu-chya - of Ganu, Ganu's

tyaa - those

udyaa - steps, jumps

sai-bale - Sai powered

Of the holy place of Pandhari, O, I myself am the guide. Ganu's those jumps (on the way to Pandhari) are Sai powered.

maja na vichaarita pandhari-chya vaate | jaal tari kaate ruta-til ||

maja - me

na - not, without

vichaarita - asking

pandhari-chya - of Pandhari

vaate - along the path, along the road

jaal - if you go

kaate - thorns

ruta-til - will pierce, will prick

Without asking me, along the path of Pandhari, if you go, then thorns will pierce (you).

pandhari-chi vaat mothi avaghad | mothe mothe pahaad margaa-maji ||

pandhari-chi - of Pandhari

vaat - path, road

mothi - very, big

avaghad - difficult

mothe - big, huge

mothe - big, huge

pahaad - mountains

margaa-maji - on the path, on the way

The path of Pandhari is very difficult. There are big big mountains on the way.

tayaa-che te vajra aahe maj-pashi | tasaa hrishi-keshi olakhi-cha ||

tayaa-che - of those

te - that, the

vajra - thunderbolt (destroyer)

aahe - is, exists, have

maj-pashi - with me

tasaa - likewise

hrishi-keshi - Hrishi Keshi, the lord of the Heart, Lord Krishna, the Lord of Pandhari

olakhi-cha - of familiarity, of acquaintance

Of those (mountains), the thunderbolt (destroyer), exists with me. Likewise, HrishiKeshi (Krishna, the Lord of Pandhari) is of familiarity (with me)

ganu mhane janmo-janmi naahi tuti | sai-chya jaga-jethi hrudayaat ||19||

ganu - Ganu

mhane - says

janmo-janmi - in birth after birth, in innumerable births

naahi - not, no

tuti - breaking, separation

sai-chya - of Sai

jaga-jethi - the Lord of the world

hrudayaat - in the heart

Ganu says, in birth after birth, there is no separation (as) in the heart of Sai exists the Lord of the world (Krishna).

mhanun hi sandhi davadu nakaa koni | padaal maaguni pastaa-vyaat ||

mhanun - That is why

hi - this

sandhi - oppurtunity

davadu - waste, let go

nakaa - do not

koni - anybody, everybody

padaal - fall in

maaguni - later on, afterwards

pastaa-vyaat - repentance, regret

That is why, this opportunity, do not let go, anybody. You will fall in repentance later on.

dambhaa-che gaathode eki-kade thevaa | vikalpa sodaavaa ghaatak jo ||

dambhaa-che - of false pride, of unfounded ego, of haughtiness

gaathode - the cloth bundle

eki-kade - on one side

thevaa - keep

vikalpa - doubting tendency, suspicious outlook

sodaavaa - leave it

ghaatak - destructive

jo - which is

The cloth bundle of false pride keep it on one side. The doubting tendency, which is destructive, leave it.

krodhaa-chi ti holi dynaana-agni ne karaa | vaasane-si maaraa abhyaasaa-ne ||

krodhaa-chi - of anger

ti - that, the

holi - Holi (burning away)

dynaana-agni - fire of knowledge

ne - by

karaa - do

vaasane-si - the lust

maaraa - beat, kill

abhyaasaa-ne - by practice

Of anger, do the Holi (burning away) by the fire of knowledge. The lust, kill it by practice.

ganu mhane aishyaa vrataa-si jo paali | tayaa-si sambhaali sai maajhaa ||20||

ganu - Ganu

mhane - says

aishyaa - such

vrataa-si - a Vrata, a religious observance

jo - one who, whosoever

paali - follows, obeys, observes

tayaa-si - unto him, of him

sambhaali - takes care, protects

sai - Sai

maajhaa - my

Ganu says, such a Vrata whosoever follows, of him takes care my Sai.

karu nakaa naash yaa ayushyaa-cha | janma maanavaa-cha punha naahi ||

karu - do

nakaa - do not

naash - destruction

yaa - this

ayushyaa-cha - of life

janma - life, birth

maanavaa-cha - of human being

punha - again

naahi - not

Do not do destruction of this life. The birth of human being is not (to be had) again.

pratyek janmaat kanyaa pore ghar | maithun aahaar aani nidraa ||

pratyek - every

janmaat - In life, In birth

kanyaa - daughters

pore - children

ghar - home

maithun - mating

aahaar - food

aani - and

nidraa - sleep

In every birth, there are daughters, children, home. Mating, food and sleep

nar-janma naahi aishyaa krutyaa-saathi | baandhaa khun-gaathi manaa-maaji ||

nar-janma - human birth

naahi - not

aishyaa - such

krutyaa-saathi - for acts

baandhaa - tie

khun-gaathi - knots of hints, knots of signs

manaa-maaji - in the mind

The human birth is not for such acts. Tie the knots of (these) hints, in the mind.

jodu jaataa jode janmi yaa ishvar | nar-janma thor ganu mhane ||21||

jodu - joining, attaining

jaataa - on trying and...

jode - gets joined, gets attained

janmi - in life

yaa - this

ishvar - God

nar-janma - human birth

thor - great

ganu - Ganu

mhane - says

On trying and attaining, God gets attained in this (very) life. Human birth is great, Ganu says.

lobh moha maayaa taakun avaghyaan-chi | dhara sadguru-chi paaule ti ||

lobh - covetousness, avarice, greedy desire

moha - fondness, fascination

maayaa - earthly attachment

taakun - throwing away, casting away

avaghyaan-chi - of one and all

dhara - hold

sadguru-chi - of the sadguru

paaule - feet

ti - those

Casting away greedy desire, fondness & earthly attachment of one and all, hold those feet of the Sadguru.

guru-paayaa-maaji aahe sarva kaahi | guru-vina naahi saarthaka-taa ||

guru-paayaa-maaji - In Guru's feet

aahe - there is

sarva - all, every

kaahi - thing

guru-vina - Without Guru

naahi - not, no

saarthaka-taa - state of accomplishment, attainedness, purposefulness

In Guru's feet, there is everything. Without Guru, there is no purposefulness (unto the life)

guru kaam-dhenu guru kalpakata | chinte-si vaaritaa chintamani ||

guru - Guru

kaam-dhenu - wish fulfilling cow

guru - Guru

kalpakata - all capability , all competency , omnipotent

chinte-si - the worry

vaaritaa - one who wards off

chintamani - wish fulfilling stone, name of Ganesha i.e. one who removes worries

Guru is the wish fulfilling cow (Kaam-dhenu), Guru is omnipotent (possessing all capability). Guru is the chintamani (remover of worries), who wards off worry.

guru-bhakti thaayi jo kaa eka-nistha | triloki to sreshtha ganu mhane ||22||

guru-bhakti - devotion unto Guru

thaayi - for, in the place of, in the matter of, in regard of

jo - who

kaa - one

eka-nistha - single pointedly faithful

triloki - in the three worlds

to - he

sreshtha - greatest

ganu - Ganu

mhane - says

In the place of devotion unto the Guru, one who is single pointedly faithful, In the three worlds, he is the greatest, Ganu says

guru-padi bhaava vithu-si abola | aishaa maanavaa-laa moksha nohe ||

guru-padi - at the feet of Guru

bhaava - real feeling, devotion

vithu-si - with Lord Vithu (i.e. Lord Vishnu)

abola - no-speaking, no-interaction (out of considering him as different from Guru)

aishaa - such

maanavaa-laa - unto human being

moksha - liberation

nohe - no, not

(One who has) Devotion at the feet of guru, (but) no-interaction with Lord Vithu (i.e. Lord Vishnu) (out of considering him as different from Guru), unto such a human being, there is no liberation.

bhopalaa haataat pari dhondaa kanthi | baandhilyaa shevati ghaat ghade ||

bhopalaa - pumpkin fruit

haataat - in hands

pari - but

dhondaa - stone , stupid person

kanthi - on the neck

baandhilyaa - on tying

shevati - in the end

ghaat - destruction

ghade - happens

(Although) Pumpkin fruit (is present) in hands, but a stupid person, on tying it on his neck, then in the end, (his) destruction happens.

(The stupid person does not know what a pumpkin is, & hence although it is available with him, instead of eating it, he ties it on his neck. Likewise, a person who does not know what a Guru is, that he is the Lord himself in Guru's body, fools himself.)
