Google Forms

When integrated authentically into our classrooms, Google Forms and Spreadsheets has the ability to streamline our work, and hopefully make our daily work a little bit easier...year after year. Keep in mind, in working with these various tools, there will be a good deal of time spent up front building up the system, figuring out the kinks, and getting it to do exactly what you want it to do. But, once the system is in place, you can use it again year after year, and make it better and better.

Google Spreadsheets is the version of Excel that comes standard in Google Docs. The benefit of using Spreadsheets over just plain Excel is the ability to have multiple people edit and revise the documents, along with integration of Google Forms. Forms gives us the added functionality of adding response capture objects to our spreadsheets...in short, we can create quizzes, or sheets that students can fill in for themselves. And...thanks to the fact that these tools are free, there is a tremendous amount of support online for them.
