Pedagogical Uses

ForAllRubrics can be used as a standards-based grading tool. It allows data to be saved for reporting formative and summative assessments and grades. It can even be used to bolster parent-teacher conferences, and inform decisions regarding IEP’s. As a grading tool, the student gets immediate feedback, which can also be emailed both to the student and his/her parent(s).

Limitations

The only drawback I see for this program is that there currently is no interface with other gradebook systems such as PowerSchool, which many districts choose as their Grade Reporting system. All grades from ForAllRubrics must be transferred to electronic gradebooks manually.

Conclusion

I highly recommend using ForAllRubrics as a way to give students meaningful, timely feedback so that they know how to improve the quality of their performance or work.
