Students will learn the distinguishing elements of fiction and nonfiction ebooks. BookFlIX is great online tool to enhance the love of reading and supports early reading skills.

Select a category.

Next select a video and book pair and click on GO.

After watching video read related nonfiction book.

Option to read alone or click on Read Along button.

Click on highlighted word to hear definition.


Students can then show what they know by clicking on Puzzlers.

BookFLIX is an engaging tool to reinforce reading skills. Readers of all levels will benefit from this site. The one drawback would be the cost of the subscription. Fortunately, our town’s public library allows us to access BookFLIX for free with a current library card. Check with your public library prior to subscribing!
