Concern: Thyroid Nodule
Face-to-Face Medical Consultation then Telemedical Consultation
I saw RT in my clinic on January 7, 2020. I did a needle evaluation and aspiration biopsy n her. My primary clinical diagnosis was - colloid adenomatous nodule. I put her on levothyroxine. She had come all the way from Roxas City to see me. I told her to just do telemedical consultation with me.
April 2, 2020 - 2 months after religiously taking levothyroxine, she PM me with a picture of herself and her neck to show the thyroid nodule has decreased in size.
"Lumiit na po doc ang bukol" (the mass has decreased in size)
I advised her to continue the levothyroxine and checkup after one month using telemedical consultation.
She is happy the nodule decreased in size and she is also happy she did not have to travel from Roxas City to Manila (savings as well as safe from COVID19 and no inconvenience of lockdown).
