Dosage - Range: 4 to 6 tabs /day
MONOTHERAPY:
-RECOMMENDED DOSE: 1250 mg/m2 orally 2 times a day (morning and evening; equivalent to 2500 mg/m2 total daily dose) for 2 weeks followed by a 1 week rest period

Tablets should be swallowed whole with water within 30 minutes after a meal.

Capecitabine is an antineoplastic (anti-cancer) medication used to treat breast cancer and colon or rectum cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Common side effects of Xeloda include:
severe nausea or vomiting (may be severe),
stomach pain or upset,
loss of appetite,
constipation,
tiredness,
weakness,
back/joint/muscle pain,
headache,
dizziness,
trouble sleeping,
skin darkening,
skin rash,
dry/itchy skin, or
numbness or tingling in your hands or feet.
