Polarities

We have the North Pole and the South Pole on the globe.

We also have polarities in everyday life. Some polarities can be a good thing. Others not.

Very Hot and very Cold push our senses to the maximum, and we honestly do not feel the pain after a little while since it is so overwhelming.

Polarities can generate electricity. Like two poles of a battery with two opposite charges. This makes things happen. Look at how much we use batteries in this age. IPODs, Walkman, DVD player, cell phones.

Other polarities are of a different nature entirely. Some imply emotion and others show wisdom and understanding.

The ancient symbols show us some of this wisdom. Ying-Yang, the Worm of Ouroboros. The extremes converge and blend into one totally coherent picture.

Hate and Love are an interesting pair. Someone who hates another might as well just love the other person. It's as much energy expended. It's just that the prefix sign is negative rather than positive. Apathy which is really different from love and hate, is the real insult. It has been written that apathy kills. It does. It kills a person's vibrancy.

It has been written that hating kills the hater, not the hated.

Very rich and very poor are the same. The very poor person has no money or possessions of his own, and paradoxically, the very rich do not either. Royal kings do not carry any money. They have little freedom of their own. They are owned by their subjects.

Then we have the Alpha and Omega, the beginning merging with the ending into Oneness.

Polarities which are energetic keep life flowing and interesting.

In the book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull", the author write that three things kill people: Fear, boredom, and anger.

So it is.
