Harmonic convergence

by Bob on February 8, 2007

I went to the global Harmonic Convergence in 1987. I was in New York City. We went to Central Park at an ungodly early hour. Lots of New Age syncretisms. It felt a bit too commercial in many ways. Let's say compared to Woodstock 1969. But then again, even that was oddly commercial as was observed at the time. People I know were upset that the audience wasn't going to get a part of the proceeds of Scorsese's documentary. Ah, the 1960s pre-saging the 1970s.

Then we really have to get into Reggio's brilliant 1982 film "Koyaanisqatsi" and the Hopi prophecies.

That says it all, I think. Even with the Philip Glass music.
