- Scripts to fix dependencies can be downloaded from https://github.com/sgh/lotus-notes_gtk2.23.3
Extract Notes archive
$ tar xfv NOTES_9.0.1_LINUX_DI_EN_Evaluation.tar
ibm-activities-9.0.1.i586.deb
ibm-feedreader-9.0.1.i586.deb
ibm-notes-9.0.1.i586.deb
ibm-opensocial-9.0.1.i586.deb
ibm-sametime-9.0.1.i586.deb

smartupgrade.sh
Install pre-dependencies
sudo apt-get libgnome-desktop-2-17:i386 libpam0g:i386 libxp6:i386 libxtst6:i386
Generate fixed package
-Execute script to generate "ibm-notes-x.x.x.i586-fixed.deb" (takes some time):
fix-9.0.1-dependencies.sh
Install fixed package
sudo dpkg -i ibm-notes-9.0.1.i586-fixed.deb
Run IBM Notes
/opt/ibm/notes/notes
