Unit 6 Mendelian Genetics
LEARNING OBJECTIVE #1: Using genetic vocabulary, predict the genotypic and phenotypic ratios for a single trait when crossing two parent genotypes. (In other words, know how to make a 4 box Punnet square to predict what the offspring will look like.)

CLASS NOTES FROM WED/THUR:
LEARNING OBJECTIVE #2: Using genetic vocabulary, predict the genotypic and phenotypic ratios for two traits when crossing two parent genotypes. (Make a 2-Factor cross Punnet square with 16 boxes)
Here is a picture showing step by step how to do it. Just don't use the letters "s" and "y" as the are difficult to tell apart the capital from lowercase letters.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE #3: Use family pedigrees and information about individual's phenotypes to determine the genotypes of individuals in a family. Use this information, for example, to predict the likely hood of two parents having a child with the disease.
