How to make a graph in Excel.

1. Decide what kind of graph you want to make. You should visualize it in your head or on paper. Consider drawing a quick sketch of the axis and one set of data before starting.

2. Enter data in Excel (do not include units next to each number - you should only use units to label an entire row or column).

3. Highlight the data you want to graph and push graph icon on the tool bar.

4. Choose the appropriate style of graph.

5. When the graph shows up on the spreadsheet you can click on the graph and it should show three symbols -one of which is a plus sign (+). Click on that to add titles and labels to your axis.

6. There are many more options you can learn but once you are satisfied with your graph, save it, and then copy and paste it into the Word document where you are writing your lab report.
