Post date: Jun 17, 2019 4:31:53 PM

Martin Lloyd Sanders is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), among other things. He uses his expertise and experience to help people stay safe at work. Many employees out there don’t realize that they’re kept safe in huge part because of CSPs.

But what do CSPs do?

It’s the CSP’s job to keep people, as well as property and the environment, safe. He maintains the well-being of everything in his area of responsibility through various means. CSPs take a good look at an area and analyze it, anticipating and predicting any potential dangers that may arise. These “dangers” may be from damaged structures to poorly-planned events to organizations and people themselves.

CSPs are also called in after a crisis to help in drafting preventive measures in the future.

Is there a huge demand for CSPs?

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for CSPs will grow at an average rate of just under four percent in the next five years. CSPs are also usually employed by the government (either federal, state, or local), with an overall average salary of slightly above $71,000 per year.

Would you want a career in safety? Are you willing to be a CSP? What are your thoughts on occupational safety? Feel free to share your thoughts with me, Martin Lloyd Sanders in the comments section below.
