What people said about our previous conferences (see photos)

"Fantastic day, learned a great deal and made some valuable connections with people in the industry, more of these please"

"Amazing forum. Met some of the best minds in the field. Inspired me to learn more and work harder.. "

"Brilliant time! Learnt a lot and met a lot of great people. Look forward to the next one :-)"

"An excellent opportunity to learn more about things I should know about, but didn't"

Whilst there will be plenty of learning you can soak up at the conference, those who want can get more involved and we encourage you to share your ideas and experiences. Some sessions will be proposed in advance and some on the morning of the event. Why not let us know what you want to see or present?

Get involved

At the start of the conference there is an opportunity for anyone present to volunteer for a full talk (30 minutes + questions) or lightning session (5 minutes). We encourage you to discuss with the other developers there as to what you want to hear about during the day.

We encourage you to talk about a wide range of topics, not just specifics of the Java language, Spring, Hibernate, Open Source, OSGi, etc, but also about tools and practices - eg. software craftsmanship, BDD, TDD, Kanban, Agile and other practices that enhance our world. Due to the diversity of the Java ecosystem in terms of languages, we have many people from the Groovy, Scala and Clojure user groups will be sharing their experiences.

Payment

The open conference has a minimal payment to cover costs of food and venue and to ensure people turn up. No payment is made to speakers from this entry fee. If you are unable to pay via Eventbrite, please contact the organiser directly (via Eventbrite) and we will try to seek alternative solution.
