Speaker Steve Elliott (Oracle)
At the JavaOne conference in September of 2010, Mark Reinhold (Chief
Java architect for Oracle) laid out the initial roadmap for Java 7 and 8.
Steve will cover the details of this roadmap, including all of the
latest updates that have surfaced since the initial announcement. In
what promises to be an informative and enlightening presentation, the

About the Speaker
Steve has been with the software group in Oracle/Sun for 17 years with
a focus on Java, Web Technology, SOA, Developer Tools and Open Source.
He has been involved with many core technologies from birth to
mainstream adoption in this space. His 30 years of experience in the
IT business include time as a developer, in the ISV world and with
Oracle/Sun and have resulted in a range of experiences with
distributed computing and service architectures such as CORBA, Jini,
Java JEE and Web Services. Steve has been involved with Java since
before it went public in 1995 and was involved with much of the
original introduction of Java in the UK.
