Time to build another compost hot pile

The last compost hot pile was a great success, and we are not only a couple of weeks away from having finished compost, after only 2 months. In contrast, the winter compost took 6 months to complete (but did have the disadvantage of if being a bit colder.

So we are going to make another hot pile from all the kitchen scraps and garden cuttings that have been building up on Saturday 28 July, from 4pm to 7pm.

You don't need to know anything about composting to help out, but it would help if you knew which end of a shovel is the end for holding (although this is not a requirement). Just bring yourself, a hat, gloves and water, and some energy and enthusiasm and we will show you the rest.

And after we have completed our compost hot pile there will be a BBQ for our hardworking volunteers.
