New dates through to the end of June 2012 have been made available on the volunteer sign up sheet for community composting on Sundays.
Looking after the Community Compost Collection on a Sunday is easy and only takes a few minutes of your time.
You can volunteer for one sunday shift, or many, it is entirely up to you. The sign up website even sends you a reminder the day before.
Even if you can't help out with collection, don't let that stop you from dropping of your kitchen scraps and browns from 10am to 1pm on Sundays at the garden - we turn your scraps into beautiful rich compost for the garden, and as spring planting approaches, it will certainly be put to good use.
Keep an eye on this site for announcements of community compost giveback - when the compost is ready we let you you know so that you can come and get some for your own garden - and every New York apartment has room on the windowsill for at least one pot of herbs, and our compost is sure to keep them thriving.
