Hole 1

Out of bounds area across the wire fence along the road.

The grey line depicts the area prior the start of the fairway

  • the only option is to replay from the point of the shot (tee) with a penalty stroke (Stroke and Distance)

The white line depicts the area once the fairway is available

  • in addition to Stroke and Distance, provided you have NOT played a provisional ball, you may move out to the fairway

    • drop within two club lengths BUT there is a 2 stroke penalty

    • (Alternative to Stroke and Distance - Local Rule)

Hole 2

Out of bounds area across the wire fence along the left hand side in the woods.

  • the only option is to replay from the point of the shot (tee) with a penalty stroke (Stroke and Distance)

There is no fairway so the Alternative to Stroke and Distance option is not available.

Hole 3

Penalty Areas

  • You may play the ball as it lies, or take a penalty and drop within 2 club lengths of the point of entry, no nearer the hole

  • "Back on a line" option from flag through the position of the ball is not practical for these areas

  • Ball does not need to be found

There is a drop area near the beginning of the fairway.

  • KitchenerGolf Local Rules define it as being "for ball hit in the Penalty Area on the right". This was printed on the older Red scorecards but remains the latest documented state.
