The SI is also known as the Hole Handicap. The chart below shows the comparison of Hole Difficulty as experienced by Gaffers and the official Stroke Index values for the current season. Be aware that Stroke Index/ Handicap that is published, represents the 'official view' of hole difficulty. Holes are ranked in "9"s with the most difficult being the lowest number. Odd SIs (1-17) are assigned to the "9" which contains the most difficult hole. Even SIs (2-18) are assigned to the other "9"

Stroke Index - highlighted in grey is the SI (handicap number) that is published. Note that some versions of the scorecard do not have these correctly!
Average to date - average gross score to date, per hole for all players
Difference to par is the average score, less the course Par
Rank (Hi-Lo/Odd&Even) shows the effective Stroke Index in Gaffers play for the current year to date.
Calculated Gap - shows the difference between the actual difficulty ranking in Gaffers play, and the Scorecard
