Two Man Team Event Guide

General:

The Two Man Team event is a Better Ball event where the team net for each hole is the lower net of either of the team's players. The Better Ball round score is automatically calculated each time you play. This helps avoid scheduling problems due to weather and vacations.

Your regular Gaffers score submissions are used to collect scores for the event.  Team scores are calculated for all weeks (including ones that have already been played when the team joins the event).

Enrolment:

All Gaffers will be enrolled for the Two Man Team event automatically.

Using the Dashboard, players may sign up by selecting their teammate, or you will be allocated a teammate.  Allocations will be based on handicap factors. Although it is preferred that a team plays together, it is not essential.

If you wish to decline to play in this event, please use the Dashboard or ask any Committee member to make the change through the Dashboard for you.

Scores and Points:

The team net score for the round is used

Each week the teams are ranked according to their net scores and  points are awarded in descending order.

When teams are tied they will be awarded the points for the position for which they tied.

The points for the best weeks are totalled at the end of the season leaving out the lowest two points scores for each team.  This is designed to allow for absences for vacations etc.  A week that is a No Play Day does not count at all. It will not be part of the event and will not used as one of the two 'lowest points scores' for exclusion.
