Website Kaikohe.co.nz (JohnV): to reflect the image we want to create for Kaikohe, in conjunction with the strategy for our town, to revive and renew the web site. Include section (as in Otorohonga) that showcases Kaikohe for business investment – gives overview of Kaikohe infrastructure.

CCTV/ Security: spike of crime has stopped.
Two more cameras under Raihara St and Broadway $2500-3000 (see previous minutes) Kaikohe Community Watch on Facebook working very well – offenders being named, informants not named at any time

Those standing for Council:
Meet the candidates: re local elections held 9 Sept for mayor and Regional Council, for 16 September at the Senior Citizens’ Hall, 7pm, with Council, Community Board and our local Health Board candidates - host by KBA.
John V: would like to see local communities being legislated to have their say rather than be under a large unitary authority only. Economic development urgently required for our ward – make it easier.
Sally: track record, dedicated to working for our people, especially young people.
The next meeting of the KBA will be 8th October, venue to be advised, likely the Northern News, at 5:40pm.
