"Maximum Output with Minimal Resources: IEP's Using the Focal Skills Approach"

2011 NAFSA Annual Conference - Innovative & Sustainable Practices in Intensive English Programs Poster Fair

June 1, 2011, 9am - 10:30 am

Vancouver Convention Centre Expo Hall, Canada

Kelly Cunningham & Elizabeth Reyes

was to be presented via Skype & Elluminate Live! to showcase innovation and sustainable practice.

This innovative poster presented was supposed to be presented at a distance to showcase innovative and sustainable practices that truly show how to maximize output with only minimal resources. A colleague attending the fair was to set up the two posters showcased below (click to view larger images) as well as two battery powered laptops with internet access so that both the presenters could be 'present' and field questions without needing to be physically present at the conference. However, the convention hall had no internet access so we were unable to present the poster. This innovative presentation technique could have saved large sums of the budget and made this international presentation possible without ever leaving the country.
