Meet authors in town for the Asian Festival of Children's Content

Post date: May 04, 2010 5:15:29 AM

As previously announced, there are quite a few overseas authors and illustrators coming to Singapore for the Asian Festival of Children's Content, May 6-9, 2010.

I contacted several of them about a casual get-together with us teacher-librarians to discuss possible author visits in the futures.

The time and place: The Wine Company -- on Dempsey Hill -- from 6:30pm onwards, this Wednesday, May 5th.

Head around to the left of the building where there's an entrance to a back room (or go in the front and ask how to get to the back room).

So far authors/illustrators joining us will be Holly Thompson, Naomi Kojima, John Danalis, and Lynette Thomas -- as well as Deepika Gopalan and Jyoti Ramesh of Jade Books, who locally represent Tulika Press (India).

Some of the authors who couldn't make it include Christopher Cheng, Rukhsana Khan, and Uma Krishnawami.
