See below how Holly Thompson, author of "The Wakame Gatherers" -- one of our Red Dot Picture Books, is coming to the Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC) 2011 conference in May -- and she's available for school visits.
Dear ISLN Librarians,
I just wanted to let you know that I have scheduled another visit to Singapore for the AFCC 2011 conference (May 26-29), and I would be delighted to do a couple school visits while I’m there.
I am available on Wednesday May 25 (though perhaps not very first thing in the morning as my flight arrives at 1:30 that morning!) and Monday May 30.
My YA verse novel Orchards (Delacorte/Random House) will be out in February, and I would be happy to do presentations related to this, on writing verse novels, and/or on my picture book, The Wakame Gatherers. My website www.hatbooks.comlists a number of my presentations, and I am in the midst of developing more for Orchards.
Anyway, I would love to visit some Singapore schools, and I would be happy to provide more detailed information about my presentations. I look forward to seeing some of you again in May if you’ll be at the AFCC conference!
