RELATIVITY We benefit from understanding investment in space in terms of Albert Einstein's 'Theory of Relativity'. We know that 'space is' an infinite continuum between the macro & micro-cosms. The interface between the macro & micro-cosms are exactly where we each exist in our individual & collective consciousness on planet earth. Each place on this continuum is as important as & for the others. The present so called "space" program has a huge role in humanity's present degradation of the biosphere as 'privileged' ('private-law') economic appropriation of resources as well as severe impacts on air-water-soil quality, ozone & other atmospheric considerations. The present space program by colonial nations is tied with patterns of military technology control & enhancement.
HEART & MIND SPACE The difference of where we concentrate/spend finite human, earthly, energy & financial resources is based upon considerations of humanity's consciousness, place & role in the biosphere. Accounting recognizes that there are certain benefits from perspective & measurement which we gather from outer-space, however we need a full understanding for the relative contributions to humanity & earth's biosphere life-support in order to intelligently make the choices before us. The biosphere is the operating system for 'spaceship-earth', human solidarity, connection & heart-mind values. We are all crew members on this spaceship. Do we recognize that all of us contribute to earth's economy simultaneously? Do we try to work as a spaceship-earth team including every person & every species into the equation? Do we develop the capacities including technology for our human family & biosphere first? Do we recognize the particular expertise of humanity's worldwide 'indigenous' (Latin 'self-generating') heritage as longtime commanders of spaceship earth? The present inarticulate/inappropriate colonial monetary system accommodates theft appropriations of resources by an advantaged & ill-informed economic minority, degrading the biosphere & populations through our inappropriate fixation on 'outer-space' technology without comparison of biosphere enhancing choices. Worldwide spending in all other countries, besides the USA, adds a significant portion of this total, to say human governments have collectively spent some 11/2 trillion dollars into a particularly inauspicious process & space void. We do have options to invest these amounts into our human spaceship earth flight crew. The picture above is of Sinixt (lakes) peoples from western central British Columbia & Washington travelling in a sturgeon nose canoe excellent for a variety of environmental conditions of this region. First Nations living as master cultivators of the biosphere included Polyculture Orchards of massive abundance. Canoe transport enhanced both nature & community being no-impact in comparison to road, rail, plane & outer-space.
