9) Right-to-bare-arms

Choices arise for where we put time, effort, resources & money locally, to national & internationally?  Do we feed cycles of fear, violence & armament or do we build cultures of loving compassionate mutual-aid?

Words relating to arms:

POSITIVE: We roll up our sleeves to 'bare-arms' in order to help each other. We embrace, support, nurture, assist & collaborate with our arms. We've all a right to empty unhindered arms for love, life & mutual-aid

NEGATIVE: We 'bear-arms' (weapons) in fear & defensive reaction to the unknown & objects of disdain & hate. George Orwell describes how propaganda is used to create negative impression 'hates' of other nations in '1984' for the planned generation of strife & perpetual war.  Personality becomes 'armoured' as each negative damaging experience leaves us with emotional scars. Armies fight the other. Collectively communities & nations we arm ourselves with advanced weaponry-armaments stored in armouries.

HUMAN RIGHTS

 The Right-to-'bare'-(naked) arms RTBA is a word-play on the more common 'Right-to-bear-arms' (weapons). RTBA is based in unifying human traditions of 'pulling-up-our-sleeves' in mutual-aid through a host of economic & relational tools.  RTBA is meant to go deeper than traditional left-right politics to give us cause to work together proactively.  Rather than depending upon non-existent government leadership, RTBA enables individuals, families, businesses & neighbourhoods to show government by example what to do.  The Right-to-Bare-Arms supersedes the Right-to-Bear-Arms.  Those who see violent resolution as a way of life & supposed liberty, with their hyper-delusional insecurity must not jeopardize the safety & security of all.

RESPONSIBILITY

ROLLING-UP-OUR-SLEEVES-IN-MUTUAL-AID

 Rights obviously require responsibilities, that gun owners, manufacturers, lobbyists & conservatives should be expected to show. However their single-focus personalities drive them into such cycles of fear that they do not think broadly across a diversity of factors & remain locked into violence & hyper-defence.  Rather than trying to change inherent human character, one solution is for the rest of society to join right-wing conservative business leaders in expanding their business roles in a participatory framework involving all of us investing, innovating, inventing & interacting in the development of human 'capital' (Latin 'cap' = 'head' meaning 'wisdom') for universal livelihood, life & love. 

TRAGEDY Nancy Lanza, a National Rifle Association NRA member trained her son Adam in point-blank shooting techniques at a local shooting range.  Nancy kept at least five weapons in her home supposedly to protect themselves with. Even locked gun-cupboards are difficult to secure.  Adam had a known psychological disturbance for which he was taking anti-depressants. The National Rifle Association, Gun Owners of America & Nancy Lanza would have everyone everywhere always  'packing-heat', carrying arms.  They would have principles, teachers & staff at elementary schools having easy access to or carrying weapons during the course of their daily interaction with children.

ISOLATION Nancy & Adam as do tens of millions across the USA & Canada lived in the isolation of monetary wealth in a detached nuclear-home but in the poverty of relationship, interaction & mutual-aid. Guns, computer-games, drugs, alcohol, cottages, non-essential motorized travel & other facets of human alienation, loneliness & unfulfillment, weigh heavy on the soul. These consumer factors are notoriously common among all in colonial society.

SPEED A gun's capacity for instant violence perturbs the reactive fear which many gun compulsives express. 14th Dec 2012, after killing his mother at home, driving to Sandy Hook elementary school, it then only took Adam 20 minutes to break through the school's locked door, kill 6 school professional teachers, administrators & 20  6-7 year old student children with multiple shots of his automatic weapon. Adam having some autistic tendencies & what-ever other psychological imbalance was placed by his doctors on a pharmaceutical diet of anti-depressant s.  It's known that; the anti-depressants which Adam ingested have effects of clouding & releasing personal inhibitions for suicide & homicide across 100s of 1000s of patient-users.  These drugs seem to have liberated his unfulfilled & drug-perverted id (imagination) facilitated with marksman training & technology to fulfill the coward-bully cycle in keeping with Adam, Nancy & the NRA's fears.

FEAR  The USA leads a pack of fear with 30,000 gun deaths per year through suicide first & homicide second. The USA, Canada, NATO & Israel are actively arming dissidents in over 80 nations worldwide in order to : destabilize their governments, appropriate their resources & feed our armament industries.  40% of our GNP is from Armament, Munitions, Security & War. Our Finance-Media-Military-Industrial-Complex controls the popular mind & democracy. All 'colonial' ('imposed-settlement' determined from the outside) ultimately from Proto Indo-European root *kwel- "move around" nations of the Americas have many times the gun deaths of any other continents.  Such madness requires the international psychology profession including the American Psychiatric Association to create a new DSM Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders entry 'Paranoid Obsessive Gun Expressive Delusion' POGED especially for America.

REFRAMING

 With the Sandy-Hook Elementary School SHES massacre having happened 14 Dec. 2012, gun control in the USA & Canada is once again before us as a society.  All those concerned (myself included) are lined up in our almost typecast roles.  We continue to negatively frame this human issue as 'stopping-violence' rather than a positive framework of 'building-relations'.  I'm personally in favour of gun control, so much as to be personally uncomfortable around all guns of all forms all of the time.  Still I know that controlling others does not get the discussion & constructive action going as far as it needs to go.  Locked into their fears, conservatives react in alarm to the notion of disarming even going into buying frenzies.  Yet if we reframe the issue in terms of building partnerships for helping everyone invest-in & include often excluded individuals in developing & expansion of enterprise  business, conservative ears perk up. Conservatives as livelihood guardians need to be joined in their efforts with the participation of all.

EDUCATION In 'content' we are taught in school, church & media that; our colonial 'exogenous' (Latin 'other-generated') forebears were heros for killing the supposedly violent 'indigenous' (L 'self-generating') First Nations with the guns of our intelligent inventive society.  Most colonists adopt this lie with very little reflection. In 'process' schools rather than enabling collaborative livelihood effort for community & knowledge, adults impose competition through behaviour modifying grades upon students, each one out for ourselves. COLONY OR COMMUNITY?

 The National Rifle Association NRA, Gun Owners of America & others are on a constant warpath of fear for their supposed 'Right to Bear Arms'.  Gun owners may be irresponsible for the carnage of 30,000 gun deaths per year but also represent a partially responsible livelihood centered personality for our society which typically build many of our businesses providing much employment. We need to emulate conservative efforts for livelihood in a holistic way through adding our effort, investment & organization to theirs.  Insecurity in a 'colonial' system that doesn't work feeds upon the fears of individuals & corporations.  We're spending over 40% of our national GNP wealth on war, armament, munitions, security-force, espionage & advanced weaponry.  Rather than getting down to the real human business of helping each other, we live a travesty of perpetual fear driving atrocity, spending all of our available resources wrapped up in insecurity, desire for quick fixes in drugs, alcohol, thrill pleasures, consumer-buying, cottages, pleasure-voyage etc.  As we ignore 'community' (L 'com' = 'together' + 'munus' = 'gift or service'), each other's livelihood & well-being, we lay insecure foundation.

INTER-DEPENDENCY

Humans are inter-dependent collective creatures each giving & receiving to a world economy. In order for us to develop a social-ecology-economy insurance policy of peace its important for us to proactively recognize each other for the strengths & gifts we bring to each other, align with the abundance of nature & deconstruct insecurity of needs fulfillment, fear or violence.  Every moment, resource, organization & dollar available is a sacred trust produced by all of us simultaneously, which really should be returned to the whole in developing essential services. The only instruction which dollars carry is for the system to provide the item demanded as well as for energy & materials to restock this item.  Let's make sure our instructions restore & restock the natural & human system of essential services.

REAL BEAR ARMS

These Bear & Gorilla pictures show creatures like ourselves who maintain / honour their specialized original ecological responsibilities & knowledge of the biosphere & mutual-aid. They understand the 'Right to bear-arms' as mutual-aid without the confusion of false ego, narcissism or institutional mis-direction. 

NATURAL-SCIENCE's

NATURE

 When humans break with the abundance of 3-dimensional polyculture-orchard nature to impose 2-D 'agriculture, we destroy food, material, energy, earth, water & air production reducing these by 100 fold (10,000%). The 3-D polyculture orchard with trees rising tens of metres into the sky & producing abundance at every level is 10,000% more productive than agriculture. To Adam & Eve (indigenous peoples) living with the abundance of nature, Gen 2:17 Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;

The Middle-eastern bible's (history / heritage book of that time) Genesis section describes ancient conceptions of this ongoing colonial issue in the story of Cain the 'farmer' & Abel the herdsman/hunter. Actually both are marginalized 'exogenous' (Latin 'other-generated') colonial peoples having lost the inheritance of Adam & Eve's original life-respecting 'indigenous' (L 'self-generating') abundance of polyculture orchard of Eden, living in the three scarcities of:  1) human imposed 'agriculture' (L 'ager' = 'field'), 2) forced domestication of other animal-creatures & 3)  hunting.  Without the complete 92 - 98% canopy photosynthesis of solar energy, deep tree roots descending 10s of metres in to the earth's substrate, agriculture at 2 - 8% photosynthesis & only centimetres of earth penetration, continually exhausts: soil, water & life. COMPULSIVE REACTION: Without reference to our human nature as the meditation of breath & posture might provide, institutional fear-driven individuals constantly only refer to their institutional (money & position) status.  Unfortunately driven by insecurity, compulsives don't take responsibility for the artificial worlds, which their self-imposed isolation, fear-reaction & consumptive lifestyles are constantly creating. Compulsives have trouble deconstructing the human-relations , which drive their fears. Compulsives, living in isolation & according to linear concepts of monetary rules feel little solidarity with other humans or life & are thus unable to do the math of mutual-aid.  Compassionately understanding a perceived adversary as one does one's self provides us a deeper ability.   Abraham Maslow's 'Hierarchy-of-N eeds' helps to break down the chain of events which create & drive fear-reaction in our population. As basic food, shelter, clothing, warmth & health needs are ignored in our scarcity producing artificial societies, individuals become fearful. INTEGRATION

 Individuals & whole nations in such reactive fear-cycles have lost the knowledge of how to pro-act in mutual-aid for meeting primary needs. SATYAGRAHA Mohandas Gandhi, as a community lawyer realizing the closed reactive cycles which adversaries were engaged in developed 'Satyagraha' (Hindi 'Truth-search') by which in bringing supposed adversaries together, he would ask each party simultaneously, "What are your best intentions & how can we help you fulfill these?" Gandhi included British & commonwealth soldiers who were involved in unprovoked massacres of innocents in the many 1000s.  "Non-violence and cowardice go ill together. I can imagine a fully armed man to be at heart a coward. Possession of arms implies an element of fear, if not cowardice. DIALECTICS / DEBATE

Truth-search requires forms of 'dialectic' ('both-sides') inquiry among participants. Dialectic Rights presume that all individuals have the right in any social or economic relationship in which they engage to call others within such groups to debate in order to explore issues from both-sides.
