Big Data Online cursus

Samen met Laudius en een ander docent heb ik in 2018 een online cursus Big Data ontwikkeld. Deze Big Data cursus bestaat uit 7 lessen en is in eigen tempo te volgen. De cursus bevat de onderwerpen:

Interim CBS

On December 31, 2011, my contract with CBS (Centraal bureau van de Statistieken) expired (detached via Stogo Onderzoek + Advies), because they were no longer allowed to hire people and certainly not hire external parties. I knew in advance that it was for 5 months and that the chance of an extension would be small, but the assignment was fun and I was back to work. I continued applying for jobs the entire time I worked at CBS, but unfortunately that didn't help. I worked briefly at ING before the assignment at CBS.

Excel & Access

At CBS I was in a department where the financial figures were processed into inflation and interest figures, forecasts for the economy were made, etc. A lot of Excel and Access were used for this. In the latter it even went so far that programming was done in it.

Lunch talk

What was nice about this interim job was that it took away my prejudice about open-plan offices (kantoortuinen), because it was a quiet department. There was a lot of discussion during lunch about Zwarte Piet and the student debt all had (UPDATE: Sept 2024: student debt €0 euro).
