Big Data eCourse

Together with Laudius and another teacher I made a Big Data eCourse in Dutch about what Big Data is, how to analyze Big Data and Privacy & Ethics in Big Data research. With the code: GUISELAINE 10 percent discount (Affiliate).

Looking For Information In A library Got Me 3 Gigs

I was doing research for a blog in the Atria Library in 2018, when an old colleague from E-Quality (Now Atria) asked me if I wanted to design two websites for him and do a project for another colleague at Atria. I was introduced to the colleague who was doing the project 'Huiselijk Geweld' (domestic violence).

The Project 'Huiselijk Geweld'

The project 'Huiselijk Geweld' was linked to the PhD of the Atria colleague I was introduced to. They were doing research in various Dutch cities through a survey about domestic violence. The research was a quantitative longitudinal research supplemented with table talks with the victims (mixed method). It was about empowering the victims through work, financial independence and resilience.

Digitalizing & Designing The Online Version Of The Survey

The offline version of the survey had to be translated into an online version. I suggested a few online survey platforms with their pros and cons to the project 'Huiselijk Geweld'. One platform was selected and I translated all the surveys of the quantitative longitudinal research into a digital form. I also made a manual how to use the digital survey platform. After a while the surveys were doing well online and I handed the survey platform with the surveys to the colleague managing the project 'Huiselijk Geweld'.

Note: In 2011 I was a victim of date rape. I was never a victim of 'Huiselijk Geweld' myself, because I always lived on my own. I did not design the questions in this project. I only translated the surveys into a digital form.
