What is an Infographic?

An infographic is a way to illustrate information in a way people can understand it. In an infographic text and photo, graphics and tables are combined. Combining these makes the massage stronger. An infographic is easier to share and therefore available for more people. Most people look before they read. With an attractive and easy to read infographic a report will be read a subject will be spread.

How Do I Approach An Infographic?

1. First I choose a topic. In this case I chose 'Elections'

2. Then I look for information

3. Based on the information, I will narrow down my subject even more. In this case I go for 'Women & Elections'

4. I think about how I want to display the data. In this case, I want to use an infographic

5. There are several free and paid infographic programs that specialize in making infographics, but I'll ignore them for now and go for Canva

6. I choose a template and start working on making the infographic

7. Voila

8. I can download it as pdf or Image

9. And now I can use the pdf or jpeg or png ( the last two both pictures) in my outings, for example on social media or poster.
