An infographic is a collection of graphs, images and texts that together form a story. This story is often intended to inform. Lately I've seen a lot of infographics from the government about COVID to inform people. As I can see, I made an infographic that mainly consists of text and gives me facts about Women's Day. Using this infographic, I'm going to tell how I approached it.
The first thing to do is pick a topic and define it. I wanted to make an infographic about Women's Day. So I first googled what there is in information and what is interesting. This time I decided to share facts about the origins of Women's Day.
While collecting data, I came across a lot of information, but I also discovered that facts about Women's Day would mainly become a text issue instead of graphs or figures. From the wealth of data I chose 5 facts that seemed interesting to share on Women's Day.
As I mentioned earlier, facts in this case mainly consist of text. So I also opted for an infographic form, in which text is shown as the most important. In this case I converted a template from Canva into a suitable infographic, in which I can mainly put text and divided it into 5 boxes for 5 facts. I adjusted the colors and looked for some pictures to clarify the subject.
