I wanted to go to the World Press Photo in Amsterdam, but it was sold out on the day I wanted. I ended up in the synagogue in Groningen where there was also at the same time the exhibition of the World Press Photos. I was impressed with the setting and the World Press Photos. As a bonus there was a local initiative of photographers upstairs they said at the entrance, Catcalling Groningen.
I was surprised and impressed with the project Catcalling Groningen. It was put upstairs in a corner, but it was worth visiting. I noted down the Instagram and websites referred to in the explanation of the pictures. In the train on my way back I was reading about the project catcalling. The catcalls were made visual by chalking them down in the center of Groningen where they were called. On my next visit I was looking at the pavement to see some of the catcalls. It's a must see!
Catcalling is the third quarter 2024 NGO of Databeet and gets 1 percent of the gross turnover. The catcalling project is working on one of the 17 goals the world must reach in 2030, gender equality! This is the last NGO within the Databeet project 1 percent NGO that gets 1 percent of my gross turnover.
